adventures in ladies market

pissed with the whole workload..
so i decided to go to ladies market..
n search for *ahem* u know.. copy stuff.

read up on stories how catalogues oh whatever the vendors sold would be on the table, so u'd just choose and blah blah. n maybe they'd invite u upstairs..

so there i went.. searching for this guy i met when i first came to hong kong..
unfortunately.. his catalogues are one of the worst i've seen among the rest..
n he insisted on bringing me upstairs..
yes.. i know i should safeguard myself.
but i was in a heckcare mood.
besides i had a little alarm device if need be..

well the little room was really little. but shelves upon shelves of the goods..
n nothing caught my eye.. since i already knew what i wanted n he didnt have it..
luckily he was nice enough and repeated loads of times that if i wasnt happy, then nothing could be done.. n if the price wasnt right for both of us, then mian3 tan2 in a nice way..
so after talking to him for a bit, i trooped off to another spot.. but of course i'd go back to him.. if i seriously want something :P

n there i went to 2 other 'shops'...
much bigger than the first one.. n there were some japanese as well .. hohooh.. and of course the angmohs.. n one 'designer-looking' guy.. i was kinda surprised he was there..

one lady bluffed me that hers (LV) was A+ grade.

it was like C grade to me. the 'leather' she insisted it was, was totally not leather at all.
and the straps were crappily glued together. not only that, the stitching was crappers.bright yellow stitching?!?!
how to be A+?? still tell me from Korea summore. poooi.
dunch tink i small ger can bluff easily hor. i got good eye for detail okay.

n first she quoted me 200hkd. i lied and said my friend got hers for 150hkd when she didnt want to give me a better price. so she quoted me 180hkd
then i left.. n some guy came running to me and said okok, i give u 120hkd. u come upstairs.
n i saw the crapshit. n of course was totally put off.
n then she asked how much i was willing..
hello auntie!! not even 50hkd lor!! even if i bought it i wouldnt be caught dead with it. eek!!
so i quickly left with an angmoh couple. hehe.
i wonder how much they were cheated of.

seriously, i wasnt happy with what i saw. be it gucci, prada, etc.
not quite up to standard n well, i can safely say the most popular goods they have are from gucci n lv.. which is totally unappealing to me. well. mebbe just one bag. but not totally in love with it either.

rave reviews on the internet i guess are just... by overexcited people..

so i just bought an ernie puppet. i think it's got too much hair. haha.
n black stockings. u know the 'fashionable' leggings now. ( it's ironic how fashionable it is, when it's actually a faux pas to be wearing it.. it depends i guess...)

ladies market is soooo disappointing. i guess it depends on what u want..
n i guess if u like HUGE dolls, u'd be excited..
keroro, hello kitty, cinnamoroll, kerokerokeroppi, blah.....
oh. the lesportsac stuff are rather good too. haha. but didnt bother with them...

still looking for the elusive bag i'm dreaming of..
the closest is from esprit.. n it's damn huge for everyday use n rather expensive n the colour is not quite right.
