you wouldn't want to step on one. i did before, once, in the dark, and I thought I stepped on a balloon. took me a few seconds to wonder what an uninflated balloon was doing lying around in my house before i turned on the lights. it was still alive and hopping, mind you.
another one goes to froggy heaven.... GASP! It just occured to me, mien squished her italian prince charming!!!
i didn't! it very well survived the accident. hopping perfectly well after that
